I was just watching an advert for the Vauxhall Mokka when I thought 'what are our U.S. cousins doing to advertise the Buick Encore' so I Youtube'd it. Quite different approach really.

Vauxhall Mokka

Buick Encore

I quite like this one-ish

Vauxhall Insignia

Buick Regal

It's interesting how to markets promote what is essentially the same vehicle.

I'm sure that the Opel ads are different also.

Actually the Vauxhall/Opel Mokka advert is exactly the same only played in reverse (ie instead of the car turning left at the end of the street, it turns right) leaving one video looking as if it was right hand drive and the other left hand drive.

Opel

Vauxhall

well shit, so it is. Do you reckon they flipped footage and photoshopped in the badges and plates or they changed the badges and plates on set?

Almost certainly what they did. I guess why film two adverts when only the U.K., Ireland, Malta and Cyprus are the only European countries to drive on the left.
